Fruits and vegetables in season

Fruits and vege– superrrr tasty, healthy and perfect to include in your bakes (though maybe more so fruit…). But how many of you know which ones are in season each month ?ย ๐Ÿ‰๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ๐Ÿฅ•

Fruit and veggies (F&V) are such an important food group to have plenty of in your diet. They’re jam packed full of micro-nutrients and antioxidants making them super healthy and also so so tasty. It is recommended to eat a wide variety (eat the rainbow) to make sure you get the full benefits of all the vitamins and minerals they contain but it is also great to eat fruits and vege that are in season.

Why… ?

  1. Cheaper– buying fruits and vege in season tend to be cheaper as they are easier to grow during this time. Plus supermarkets sometimes have special offers on for these particular F&V. Therefore save some money and pick the ones in season each month!
  2. Yummier– the seasons the F&V are grown and picked in are the perfect conditions for them making them tastier and juicier.
  3. Local– when buying in season you may be supporting local businesses rather than when the F&V are imported from abroad.

Below I have written out a table of which fruits and vege are perfectly in season in each month.
